9:00 AM
Join us on an all paved flatish 20 miles bike ride. Pace will be 11-13 mph and starting point is at Deer Grove East Forest Preserve.
Get there at least by 8:40 to get your bike ready, so we can leave at 9am sharp. No scheduled snack stops; we will keep rolling. We will ride the Palatine Trail and low traffic subdivision streets. We will be riding thru most of Palatine and a touch of Rolling Meadows. This is not and out and back ride (it is a loop ride), so if you start with us, you will have to finish the ride. Casual ride, no one left behind.
Reminders: Helmets are expected safety gear. Bike must be in reasonable condition. Guests are welcome to join us for one ride but are expected to join the club for additional rides (insurance requirements). Fountains may be disabled so bring enough water. Please carry emergency contact info.
Starting Location:
Dear Grove East Forest Preserve: The entrance is off of Dundee Rd in Palatine (east of Quentin Road and Smith Street ) (west of Hicks Road) Entrance is across from Peppertree Subdivision. Drive into entrance, go past entire first parking lot and go past the trail. Keep to the left and you will see a flush toilet bathroom further down. Park there.
