We will do 1 1/2 loops around Deer Grove Forest Preserve. Then go off onto the Palatine Trail. We will take the trail to the end and jog through a couple of side streets and end up at Twin Lakes. We will take a bathroom break there, as well as a short snack break. We will then do a loop around Twin Lakes, and head back along the Palatine Trail to get back to Deer Grove FP. This is an all paved route. Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare and sign in.
Starting Location:
Deer Grove Forest Preserve East (The entrance is off of Dundee Road in Palatine. East of Quentin Road and Smith Street and West of Hicks Road. Entrance is the North side of Dundee. Go into the entrance and keep going till you pass the stop sign. Go around the bend to your left and keep going till you see a bathroom - we will park there.
