Ride White River Trail (Elkhorn, WI)
August 25, 2018
9:30 am

Join me for a ride on the White River State Trail in Wisconsin between
Elkhorn and Burlington. This is a limestone trail that is about 12 miles
long, so we’ll have a 24-25 mile round trip. The trail is flat with views
of farms and fields. It is mostly shady, which will help with the warm
temperatures (again). On the return leg we’ll stop at the café in the old
depot next to the trail. Or you can bring a lunch/snacks to enjoy.

Where: White River Trail trailhead in Elkhorn, WI. (Directions: From Route
12 into Wisconsin and then to the town of Elkhorn, WI. Exit at Highway NN
and go left on NN. The a quick left onto Highway H and go a little over
half a mile to the trailhead parking lot on the left. Try 700 Highway H,
Elkhorn, WI for GPS.)
What: Ride the White River State Trail, 24-25 miles round trip.
When: Saturday, August 25 at 9:30 AM. It is about an hour and a half from
Schaumburg. Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in and prepare.
How: Casual speed, no one left behind.

There is a $5 state trail fee that can be paid at a self-service drop box at
the trailhead.

There will be a portable toilet at the trailhead. There is no water at the
trailhead.

Let me know if you are coming so we don’t leave from the trailhead without
you.
