Saturday Ride starting Deer Grove in Palatine
June 10, 2017
8-830am

Time: I’m going to toss a coin on this one - somewhere between 8:00-8:30. Look at your email tomorrow morning when I make my decision
Miles: about 26
Start: Deer Grove Forest Preserve — Entrance is off of Dundee Road (between Smith Street and Hicks Road). North side of Dundee. Go in the entrance and pass up the first parking lot. Drive to the first stop sign. Look for crossing pedestrians, then pass up the stop sign and the parking lot curves to the left. Follow the curve and park by a standing washroom building to the left. Unless you are super early, I should be there waiting for you.

This ride will consist of trails and side streets - mostly sunny, hence the reason for starting the ride early - to beat the heat!! We will first bicycle through the Palatine trail to Twin Lakes, where we will take a bathroom break, then bicycle to Harper, where it will be another possible bathroom break (if anyone needs it). Then around Harper through a couple of trails/side streets back to Deer Grove. We will be traveling in an oblong circle. No lunch stop. No gravel or limestone - all paved paths/sidestreets.

MPH: 10-12

I don’t think I forgot any information. If you have any questions, email me or call me at 847/975-5310.
