October 15, 2016
9:30 am
Join me for a ramble through several parks this Saturday, 10/15. We'll start at Phillips State Park, head east to Mallard Lake Preserve, then south to Kline Creek Farm finally riding the Prairie Path back to the State Park. Weather looks like it will be sunny and 70. (But expect cooler at the start.)
Where: James "Pate" Philips State Park on Stearns Road a little over 2 miles west of Route 59. Drive to the right past the visitor's center to the picnic shelter and toilet building. (Try 2054 W Stearns Rd, Bartlett. But it doesn't work for all GPS units.)
When: Saturday, October 15, 9:30 AM. (Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in.)
What: Ride to Mallard Lake and Kline Creek parks, returning on the Prairie Path, about 25 miles.
How: Casual speed (no one left behind)
The ride will include some side streets and a short distance on Bartlett Road. About half the ride is on limestone trails.
Let me know if you are coming so I don't leave without you.
