North Prairie Trail 8/19
August 19, 2016
9:30am

We will leave from Algonquin and head north to Crystal Lake along the Prairie Trail then south to the Depot in Dundee and back. Distance about 20 miles. Casual speed. Faster riders may ride ahead. Can't get lost on this trail.

Meet in the newer parking lot where the bypass intersects with Washington Street in Algonquin. Drive to the back of the parking lot where the rest rooms are located. For those using a GPS, enter St. John's Luthern Church 300 Jefferson St, Algonquin, IL 60102. The parking lot is behind the school to the North West.

In case of rain, will cancel by 8AM. Let me know if you are joining us so I don't leave without you.

I have plans after the ride. For those who choose to stop, there are a couple of lunch spots: Bella's Short Stack and Reese's about a block from the parking lot. Carlo's Mexican Grill has Mexican fare. Port Edward is a few blocks farther and offers patio dining overlooking the Fox River. Recently opened River Bottom serves coffee and homemade ice creams.
