20-22 mile ride (definitely not under 20 miles). Start at Deer Grove East. All paved. 7:45 am start time. Be there earlier to set up your bike. 11-12 mph. We will do 1 1/2 loops around Deer Grove, then continue onto the Palatine Trail to the end of the trail. Then we will come back down the Palatine Trail, cut off and do a 1/2 loop around a reservoir and then a loop around Hamilton baseball field/pickleball court, then connect back onto the Palatine Trail to Deer Grove FP. No snack stop - a couple of brief water stops.
Casual ride. No one left behind.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare.
Reminders: Helmets are expected safety gear. Bike must be in reasonable condition. Guests are welcome to join us for one ride but are expected to join the club for additional rides (insurance requirements). Fountains may be disabled so bring enough water. Please carry emergency contact info.
Starting Location:
Deer Grove Forest Preserve - East (Deer Grove east is off of Dundee across the street from Peppertree Subdivision. Pull into parking lot and go past the first park lot, past the trail, and make a right - will take you to a park lot.)
