We'll ride the Virgil Gilman Trail through Aurora on Saturday morning. The trail is flat (except for a couple overpasses), mostly shady, and paved except for a short section. We'll start at the Oswego Library. Restrooms will be open there. We'll ride through Aurora, cross the Fox River, and end at Waubonsee Community College before returning the way we
came.
If there is enough interest we can do an optional 5 mile round trip detour into downtown Aurora to see the "swimming stones" and the new mural.
Casual ride. No one left behind.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare.
Reminders: Helmets are expected safety gear. Bike must be in reasonable condition. Guests are welcome to join us for one ride but are expected to join the club for additional rides (insurance requirements). Fountains may be disabled so bring enough water. Please carry emergency contact info.
Starting Location:
Oswego Library (1111 Reading Dr, Montgomery) South to Rt 34/Ogden Ave. West on Rt 34/Ogden. Right on Rt 30 then quick right on Goodwin Dr. Left on Reading Dr to library. About an hour from Schaumburg.
