10:00 AM
This is an easy to cycle, scenic, well-marked, paved trail/route over an old trolley line. The route is not totally flat. There are a few small hills. (On the return we have to ride up from Lake Michigan for a bit.) The trail passes through the towns of Cedarburg and Grafton where there are some on-road segments. We will be cycling through farmland on tree-lined trails, crossing rivers on historic bridges, cycling over the expressway and ending up in the Port Washington Marina on the shore of Lake Michigan. We often get lunch at the Dockside Deli in Port Washington, or you can bring a lunch. If the Dockside Deli is closed, there is a Cousins Subs nearby instead.
Alternate starting point 10:30 AM: Cedarburg Community Center (W63N641 Washington Ave, Cedarburg) 20 mile round trip from this starting point.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare.
Reminders: Helmets are expected safety gear. Bikes are expected to be in good condition. Guests are welcome to join us for one ride but are expected to join the club for additional rides (insurance requirements). Fountains may be disabled so bring enough water. Please carry emergency contact info.
