Oak Leaf Trail - Brown Deer to Milwaukee
May 28, 2023
10:00 AM

This is a wide paved trail through parks and along rivers. It is mostly downhill to Milwaukee and uphill on the way back. But it is a rail trail so there are few steep grades and it is an easy ride.

Park in the big lot across the park road from the boathouse. There are restrooms in the lower level of the boathouse. The ride will be about 23 miles total round trip. We should be able to enjoy the kite festival on the Milwaukee lakefront. Lunch at the biergarten in a county park is an option (or bring a lunch). The biergarten serves brats, hot dogs, soft pretzels, beer and soda. They only take credit/debit cards (no cash).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare.

Reminders: Helmets are expected safety gear. Bikes are expected to be in good condition. Guests are welcome to join us for one ride but are expected to join the club for additional rides (insurance requirements). Fountains may be disabled so bring enough water. Please carry emergency contact info.
