CHANGED ROUTE (No longer Gilman Trail)
Join us for a ride on the Fox River Trail (and McHenry County Prairie Path) from Elgin to Crystal Lake and return. We'll start at the Elgin library and ride to the gazebo in Crystal Lake. We'll take a brief break there before returning. The trail is all paved and mostly flat except for a hill in Algonquin and overpass in Crystal Lake.
We'll meet in the library parking lot near Ann Street. The distance will be about 30 miles round trip. Because this is out and back on the same route it is easy to cut your ride short and return if you prefer a shorter distance. (Dundee round trip 10 miles, Algonquin round trip 20 miles.) Or meet us starting in Dundee at 9:30 AM.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare.
Dress warm. Temp about 40 at start rising to 50 degrees.
Casual speed ride, no one left behind.
Reminders: Helmets are expected safety gear. Bikes should be in good condition. Guests are welcome to join us for one ride but are expected to join the club for additional rides (insurance requirements). Fountains may be disabled so bring enough water.

Elgin Library (270 N Grove Ave, Elgin) Golf/Rt 68 west to Grove. Left on Grove to Library.
