Join us for a ride on the Illinois Prairie Path from Elgin to West Chicago and return. We'll start at the Elgin library and ride to Kline Creek Farm. We'll take a brief break there before returning. The trail is mostly limestone (2/3). It is mostly flat except for several overpasses. There are indoor restrooms at the library and the farm.
We'll meet in the library parking lot near Ann Street. The distance will be about 28 miles round trip. Because this is out and back on the same route it is easy to cut your ride short and return if you prefer a shorter distance.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare.
Casual ride. No one left behind.
Reminders: Helmets are expected safety gear. Bike must be in reasonable condition. Guests are welcome to join us for one ride but are expected to join the club for additional rides (insurance requirements). Fountains may be disabled so bring enough water.
Starting Location:
Elgin Library (270 N Grove Ave, Elgin) Golf Rd/Rt-58 west until it ends at Grove in Elgin. Left on Grove to the library.
