Ride Fox River Trail
April 10, 2022
1:00 PM

Join us for a spring ride along the Fox River this Sunday afternoon.
Temperatures are expected to rise to the low-50s. (Dress appropriately, with layers.) We'll start at the library in Elgin and ride to Philip State Park (the nature center will be closed but the restrooms at the picnic area should be open), then to Duerr Forest Preserve (vault toilet available) then back to the library. Total distance about 15 miles. For those who have some extra energy we'll head up to the Depot in Dundee and back (another 10
miles). This will be a casual ride. We'll make frequent stops to check on riders and equipment.

Please arrive 15 minutes before departure time to prepare.

This ride has an easy route. You can end your ride at any time and return to the library with little chance of getting lost. The route is all paved trails except for short limestone sections to the State Park and in South Elgin.

Reminders: Helmets are expected safety gear. Bike must be in reasonable condition. Guests are welcome to join us for one ride but are expected to join the club for additional rides (insurance requirements). Fountains may be disabled so bring enough water.

Gail Borden Library in Elgin (270 N Grove, Elgin. Meet in parking lot near Ann Street)

Distance: 15-25 miles
