Please join up for a ride to St. Charles and back, starting from the Elgin Gail Borden Library 270 N. Grove Avenue ready to ride at 9:00 The restrooms will be open at 9:00 so we will pause at the Library to accommodate everyone. There will be restrooms at our turn around stop at the Jon Duerr Forest Preserve in St. Charles.
Around 20 miles, mostly paved trails with only a few moments of Limestone.
Average speed around 11-12 mph. Dry forecast starting temp 70 degrees. A lot of shade on this trail.
Please arrive early enough to be ready to ride and try to let me know that you are coming so we don’t leave without you. You should also bring your emergency contact info just in case. We will be riding past the soon to be open tunnel under the RR tracks that will complete the missing link of the river trail.
