Fox River Trail
July 24, 2021
9:30 AM

Join us for a ride on the Fox River Trail on Saturday, July 24 at 9:30 AM. (Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare.) We'll start at the Depot in East Dundee and ride south to Duerr Preserve in South Elgin. It is supposed to be hot on Saturday. This trail has some shade, is paved, not many hills, and usually not too crowded on summer weekends, so it should be a good choice. If there is interest we might do a dogleg to Philips State Park just to change things up a bit. It is an easy route to do fewer (or more) miles if you prefer.

Please park at the south end of the parking area (near Hill St). We don't want to interfere with farmer's market activities.

Casual ride. No one left behind.

Weather update to be posted by 7 AM Saturday.

Reminders: Helmets are expected safety gear. Bike must be in reasonable condition. Guests are welcome to join us for one ride but are expected to join the club for additional rides (insurance requirements). Fountains may be disabled so bring enough water.

Starting Location:
Depot in East Dundee (319 N River St, E Dundee)
Directions to the Depot: West on 72/Higgins to East Dundee. Right on River
Street to the Depot.)

Distance: 23 miles
Average Speed: 10-12 mph
Leader: Wayne (heinmiller.il@prodigy.net)
