Palatine Ride
May 2, 2021
9 AM

The ride will be about 25 miles or so. All paved - trails and side streets. The pace will be 11/12 mph. There are a couple of inclines, but mostly a flat ride. The starting time is 9 am, so get there by 8:45 or so to get your bike ready. Make sure you have an emergency card somewhere on your bike. We will have a bathroom/water stop at Twin Lakes and bathroom/water stop at Harper.

We will go around Deer Grove, then onto the Palatine Trail, up to Twin Lakes, then onto side streets to and around the Harper path, and back on side streets to Deer Grove. This is a full loop ride (not out and back), so you need to be able to do the full 25 or so miles.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare.

Reminders: Helmets are expected safety gear. Guests are welcome to join us for one ride but are expected to join the club for additional rides (insurance requirements). Bring a mask to use restrooms. We'll practice appropriate social distancing when not riding.

Starting Location:
Deer Grove Forest Preserve East —— entrance is off of Dundee across from Pepper Tree Dr (which is east of Quentin and Smith Street, and west of Hicks Road). When you pull in, go all the way past the entire first parking lot, then past the trails. Keep driving to your left, and you will see a bathroom. Park there (Not sure if those bathrooms are open though).

Distance: 25 miles
