Ride Illinois Prairie Path
May 1, 2021
9:30 AM

Join us for a ride on the Illinois Prairie Path on Saturday, May 1. We'll start at James "Pate" Philip State Park in Bartlett and ride to Kline Creek Farm in West Chicago. Distance is 20 miles on limestone trail. Restrooms will be open at both locations. Temps into the 70s are expected. It will probably be breezy, but the trail is sheltered. Route is flat except for a couple of overpasses. It is an out and back, so you can ride any distance you are comfortable with before returning. This is a causal speed ride. No one will be left behind.

Reminders: Helmets are expected safety gear. Bike must be in reasonable condition. Guests are welcome to join us for one ride but are expected to join the club for additional rides (insurance requirements). Bring a mask to use restrooms. We'll practice appropriate social distancing when not riding. Fountains will probably be disabled so bring enough water.

Starting Location:
Philip State Park, 2050 W Stearns Rd, Bartlett. South on Rt 59 to Stearns Rd. Right on Stearns Rd to Park. On entering park follow signs right to the picnic area.

Distance: 20 miles
Average Speed: 10-12 mph
Leader: Wayne (heinmiller.il@prodigy.net)
