Waubonsee ride is back on. 9:00
October 17, 2020
9:00 am

Join us Saturday for a Beautiful 22 mile ride down the Virgil Gilman Nature Trail
We will start at the Prisco Community Center in North Aurora at 9:00 am Saturday. (Bathrooms are open).
From Prisco we ride South past the Casino to Hurd Island and some interesting old bridges. From there we get off the Fox River Trail and turn West on the Virgil Gilman Nature trail which takes us over a variety of bridges to Waubonsee College. We have a rest and Bathroom stop there before turning back. Mostly flat and paved trails in the shade.

Start point is the Prisco Community Center at 150 W. Illinois Avenue, Aurora. It is at the intersection of RT31 and W. Illinois Avenue in Aurora. Many ways to get to it, but I would take Rt 59 South to Rt 64 (North Avenue) West into St. Charles then South on RT 31 down to Aurora and the Prisco Center. I would estimate it around 45 minutes from Schaumburg on an early Saturday morning.....Put the address in your GPS for your choice of routes.
Let me know if you are coming and please arrive a few minutes early to get set-up!

It will be cool, in the mid/high 30’s to the high 40’s Dress accordingly.
11-13 mph. Sorry for the confusion, the weather forecast improved and we will be out of any wind for 3/4 of the trip. I hope to see you!
