Fox River Trail--Geneva to Aurora
October 5, 2020
9:30 am

Join me for a ride along the Fox River, south from Geneva to Aurora (20 miles) or further south to Oswego (35 miles). We’ll begin at Bennett Park in Geneva. There will be rest stop opportunities along the trail, and we’ll stop to re-group a few times. We’ll ride on the east side of the river until Illinois Blvd in Aurora, then cross the bridge and stop at the Prisco Community Center. We'll decide then about riding the segment to Oswego.

When: Monday, 10/5 at 9:30. (Suggest you arrive at 9:15 for set-up.)

Where to meet: Bennett Park in Geneva. Route 25, south of North Avenue (#64). 500 N. Bennett Street, Geneva 60134 (IL 25 and Bennett Street). It is about 20-22 miles from Schaumburg and will probably take 45 minutes or so to get there. Bennett Park is on Route 25, on the east side of the road, overlooking the Fox River.

Lunch: Suggest you pack a lunch; there's a nice spot for picnicking along the river in Oswego, or at several spots before that.

Speed: Average speed will be 10-12 miles/hour. Faster riders who know the route are welcome to ride ahead

If you let me know you’re coming, I’ll be on the look-out for you. My cell phone is: 224-676-8027.
