I am going to ramble ride around Palatine and any club member is welcome to join me.
START: Deer Grove East Forest Preserve (entrance is off of Dundee) (west of Hicks Road and east of Smith St.).
START TIME: 8:30 (be there by 8:10 to get your bike ready)
MPH: 11-12
NUMBER OF MILES: 25-28 (all paved)
We will start at Deer Grove, then on the Palatine Trail to Twin Lakes, then along non busy roads, on side streets, up to Harper (and around Harper’s newly paved trail), then back on side streets, a couple of other mini trails, and back to Deer Grove. This is a loop type ride (not an out and back, so if you start riding, you will have to do the entire mileage). We will have a couple of water breaks and a quick snack stop at Harper (so bring a snack). If Deer Grove bathrooms aren’t open, there is one open along the Palatine trail, and the ones at Twin Lakes are open, as is one by Harper.
