Sunday September 13th ride 9:00
September 13, 2020
9:00

Join us Sunday for a Beautiful 22 mile ride (with an optional lunch ride to Oswego for 32 miles.)
We will start at the Prisco Community Center that is one of our frequent Potty stops at 9:00 am Sunday. (Bathrooms are open).
From Prisco we ride South past the Casino to Hurd Island and some interesting old bridges. From there we get off the Fox River Trail and turn West on the Virgil Gilman Nature trail which takes us over a variety of bridges to Waubonsee College. We have a rest and Bathroom stop there before turning back. Once rejoining the Fox River Trail, anyone desiring stretching this ride to 32 miles can add a 5 mile spur to Oswego then return to Prisco. Depending on the participants wishes we can make that decision on the ride. 11-13 mph, no one left behind. Mostly flat and paved trails in the shade.

Start point is the Prisco Community Center at 150 W. Illinois Avenue, Aurora. It is at the intersection of RT31 and W. Illinois Avenue in Aurora. Many ways to get to it, but I would take Rt 59 South to Rt 64 (North Avenue) West into St. Charles then South on RT 31 down to Aurora and the Prisco Center. I would estimate it around 45 minutes from Schaumburg on an early Sunday morning.....no traffic. Put the address in your GPS for your choice of routes.
Let me know if you are coming and please arrive a few minutes early to get set-up!
